A vineyard village in the heart of the Montagne de Reims

Located between the two major cities of Champagne Reims and Epernay, Chigny-les-roses is a must see for tourists visiting the region. The village is nested in the vineyards, standing against the cliff and topped by the dark green forest.

A call for a walk

You will easily find the road to Chigny-les-Roses while exploring the Montagne de Reims Regional Natural Park or visiting the Lighthouse of Verzenay, an unusual yet unmissable monument.

Come and discover the interesting elements of the village such as the fountain and its stunning bust of Mrs Pommery.

You can also admire the very charming facade of the town house, the Rozais castle which has been dismantled, the pound of the Pissote, a pastoral place of a walk, or even the path of the 5 Lords that will allow you to walk by the surrounding villages through the forest.

Our Champagne makers are up to the standing of the 1st vintage labeled vineyard and Unesco World Heritage registered hillsides of the village.

Well known for its limestone soils, the Montagne de Reims terroir is typified by the majority of Pinot Noir. The several harvester and winemaker families in the village will happily welcome you for a cave tour and a tasting.

Wishing to stay ?

There are two places where you can stay in an exceptional setting. The Antoinette cottages that are set in the vineyard or the Domaine du Chalet which is an exceptional residence of the Champagne heritage.

These places can offer you catering service but you also can enjoy lunch and dinner at the restaurant Couvert de Vignes set on the village main place.

How to come

Coming from Reims, take the motorway A4/A344, exit Reims-Cormontreuil and go on the Louvois road D9. Chigny-les-Roses is about 7km away.

Coming from Epernay, on N51/D951 around Montchenot take the road to Villers-Allerand, then Rilly-la-Montagne and finally Chigny-les-Roses.
